For Employers
Temp-to-perm, try before you hire.
Engage a candidate on a temporary basis with the option to convert to a permanent direct hire at any point. Conversion fees scale with temp tenure, the longer the trial, the lower the conversion cost. After 12 weeks, conversion is often fee-free.
When temp-to-perm makes sense
- • You want to assess fit before committing to a permanent contract
- • The role is genuinely uncertain (new headcount, restructured role, new client work)
- • The candidate is mid-career changing sectors and wants the same reassurance
- • You need someone in seat immediately while the perm sign-off works its way through finance
How conversion works
The candidate is on our payroll as a temp from week one. You direct the work. At any point, typically after 4-12 weeks, you can decide to convert them to a direct hire on your own payroll. The conversion fee depends on how long they've been temping with us:
- → 0-4 weeks: Standard permanent placement fee.
- → 4-12 weeks: Reduced conversion fee, scaling down with each additional week.
- → 12+ weeks: Conversion is typically fee-free.
Exact fee scale agreed in writing at engagement, we keep it transparent.
